The workshop lessons refer to the use of Hindenburg Pro software for recording and editing. Because you are one of our students, you can access a two-month free trial and a 30% discount for the first year. I will send you an email with the download and discount links.
Of course, you can use other software such as Audacity (which is Open Source and free), or paid-for products like Reaper or Adobe Audition. The principles of recording well and editing invisibly apply to all of them but specific instructions would vary.
